The Presidential Task Force, led by Vice President Muhammed B.S. Jallow, has inspected key NAWEC facilities at Jabang and Bijilo as it works on immediate, medium-term and long-term solutions. The team has been meeting almost daily since President Adama Barrow established it.
This follows the President’s direct intervention and measures to strengthen generation capacity, including an additional 24MW at Brikama and the planned 50MW Soma solar project.
The direction is clear: stabilise supply today while building a stronger electricity system for tomorrow.
President Barrow’s focus remains on getting the job done.
