This year’s GABECE results show 16,964 students qualifying for senior secondary school, with improvements also recorded in science and among female students.
For those moving on to higher education, applications have opened for the government-backed interest-free Students Revolving Loan Scheme, helping more Gambian families meet university tuition costs.
And yesterday, the NPP awarded scholarships to 150 students admitted to tertiary institutions, giving another group of young Gambians valuable support to continue their education.
President Adama Barrow has continued to place education and opportunity at the heart of national development.
