The new road connects Gunjur to its seaside, improving access for fishermen, farmers, traders and residents and making it easier to move goods to market.
But Barrow’s message went beyond the road. He publicly invited opposition leaders, including Ousainou Darboe and Essa Mbye Faal, to join him, arguing that the country needs peace, cooperation and greater focus on development.
With December 5 approaching, voters will decide between competing political visions.
Barrow’s message from Gunjur was simple: there is room for everyone willing to work for The Gambia.
