BARROW TAKES GOVERNMENT TO THE PEOPLE
October 1, 2026
The programme includes 21 public meetings, 24 project-site visits and seven inauguration and handing-over ceremonies, covering roads, electricity, health, agriculture and other development projects. The annual tour is required under Section 222(15) of the Constitution.
Energy will also be a major issue on the road. Government has recently signed projects to expand and strengthen electricity access, including 241 communities in CRR and URR and more than 40 communities in Greater Banjul.
Coming just weeks before the December 5 election, the tour also places President Barrow’s development record directly before communities as the campaign intensifies.
That’s today’s Barrow2026 Daily Review.
