A lengthy statement, warnings to the international community, talk of the electoral process being “compromised” — all before a single ballot has been cast.
Transparency is important, and the IEC should answer legitimate questions. But raising questions is one thing; laying the groundwork to discredit an election in advance is another.
Perhaps the UDP should spend less time preparing reasons for losing and more time convincing Gambians why they should win.
December 5 will be decided by voters — not press statements.
