Strengthening Regional Partnerships

Yesterday, President Adama Barrow welcomed President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema of Gabon to The Gambia for a three-day State Visit. The visiting President received a ceremonial welcome at Banjul International Airport, where Gambian culture was showcased through the presentation of the kola nut and performances by the Kumpo Masquerade and Kankurang.
During the visit, the two Presidents are expected to hold bilateral talks aimed at strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Closer ties between African countries can promote investment, economic growth, and regional stability.
The visit also reflects The Gambia’s growing role in regional diplomacy and President Barrow’s commitment to building partnerships that benefit the country.
Today’s message is simple: every strong international partnership has the potential to create more opportunities for Gambians at home.
