Meet the People Tour

As part of his ongoing Meet the People Tour, His Excellency President Adama Barrow visited Fandema Garden in Dobo Village, Central Baddibu, a thriving mixed-farming centre supporting local agricultural production.

The centre is engaged in seedling production, grain processing and beekeeping for honey production, demonstrating how integrated farming can create opportunities for young people and strengthen local livelihoods.

Initiatives such as Fandema Garden contribute to food self-sufficiency, promote homegrown businesses and support economic opportunities within communities.

Strengthening agriculture and creating opportunities for young Gambians remain key areas of the Government’s development agenda.
