October 19, 2026

President Adama Barrow has pledged major road and drainage improvements for Serekunda, while residents of Bundung have welcomed improvements in their water supply.

Addressing a gathering at the Serekunda School football field, Barrow announced plans to replicate the Banjul Roads and Drainage Project in Serekunda.

The proposed project promises better roads, improved drainage and relief from flooding in one of The Gambia’s busiest urban areas.

At the same gathering, Bundung’s Alkalo acknowledged improvements in water availability, highlighting progress in essential public services.

Together, these developments reflect the administration’s emphasis on addressing everyday challenges through infrastructure investment and improved service delivery.
