BARROW 2026 DAILY REVIEW – Monday, 13 July 2026
July 13, 2026
First, the government says it continues to invest in women entrepreneurs. Through the Women Enterprise Fund, D95 million has been provided to support women-owned businesses across the country. The goal is to help women expand their businesses, create jobs, and improve the lives of their families and communities. The message from President Barrow’s administration is that investing in women is investing in the country’s future.
Second, the government reports continued progress in healthcare. Since 2017, 170 ambulances have been deployed across the country. More ambulances mean families in both rural and urban areas can receive emergency medical care more quickly. This is presented as part of the government’s commitment to improving healthcare access for everyone.
Finally, the nation yesterday paid its last respects to the late Maimuna Scattrel Janneh, a respected member of the NPP family. Her funeral was attended by the Vice President, the First Lady, cabinet ministers, party leaders, religious leaders, family members, and supporters from across the country. Their presence reflected the respect she earned through years of dedicated service and loyalty.
